Box Office Round-up
Wuthering Heights continued its impressive UK box office run, adding £3.9m on its second weekend, down 49% from last weekend. That takes its total to £16.3m, and it looks on track to surpass the £21.9m that It Ends With Us finished with in 2024.
Goat is also having an impressive box office run, adding £2.8m over the weekend, which is UP 24% from last weekend. It had a bumper midweek during half-term last week and is now up to £10.5m, which is a terrific result for an original animation. This time last year, Dog Man was in cinemas for half term and that opened with £3.3m on its way to £13.9m, and it looks like Goat is going to surpass that total.
Crime 101 posted a solid hold in third, adding £764k, which is down 40% from last weekend. That takes its total to a healthy £3m. Caught Stealing was a starry crime-drama that opened last August and finished its run with £1.8m, and it looks like Crime 101 is heading for a total at least double that.
On its 13th (thirteenth) weekend, Zootropolis 2 is still in the top five, adding £681k, which is up 51% from last weekend. That takes its total to £35.8m, and over the next week it should overtake the final total of Jurassic World: Rebirth to become the sixth highest grossing film released in 2025.
Multiple Oscar-nominee The Secret Agent opened in fifth with £416k, which includes £170k from previews. This time last year, another Brazilian oscar-nominee was in cinemas – I’m Still Here, which opened with £486k (including £231k from previews). It finished its run with £1.4m, so hopefully The Secret Agent is heading to a total north of £1m too.
Outside of the top five, there were four new entries in the five spots from sixth to 10th. Cold Storage opened in sixth with £400k, Wasteman opened in eights with £331k, which includes £51k from previews, Charli XCX mockumentary The Moment opened in ninth with £324k and Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die opened in 10th with £279k.
