Digital Cinema Media (DCM) has announced the nominees for its seventh annual Digital Cinema Media Awards, held in partnership with Campaign.

The competition, which is judged by a panel of leading experts, aims to celebrate and reward the best strategic use of the cinema medium and work created by the media industry in the past year.

There are an impressive number of submissions across six categories from a range of brands and agencies in 2023, with an overall Grand Prix prize also up for grabs.

This year DCM has introduced two new categories to recognise the ways advertisers are utilising creativity in cinema, as well as how cinema can have an impact as part of longer-term brand-building strategies.

Last year’s ‘Talent’ award has also been renamed to ‘Cinema champion of the year’ to open up recognition for both individuals or agency teams dedicated to championing smart-planning for the cinema medium.

DCM's CEO, Karen Stacey, said of the announcement: "We’ve once again received an exceptional selection of entries from an inspiring range of brands and agencies who have been delivering the best media ideas, clever planning and execution in the cinema space. I’m particularly thrilled to see a growing number of entries from individuals and teams in our talent category, which highlights brilliant collaboration and teamwork across the board.

Cinema has a lot to celebrate at the moment, with our industry undergoing an incredible boom. I’m very much looking forward to spirited discussions with our esteemed panel of judges to find this year’s winners before an industry-wide red-carpet party at the end of September!”
