After the success of The Lost City in April, the next big romantic comedy of the year, Ticket to Paradise, is heading to UK cinemas on 16 September.

Hollywood stars George Clooney and Julia Roberts are reuniting for the first time since 2016’s Money Monster, playing a divorced couple that teams up and travels to Bali to stop their daughter from making the same mistake they think they made 25 years ago.

The film is directed by Ol Parker, who brings with him the same scale of gorgeous scenery as Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, which he previously directed.

Roberts and Clooney have spoken about how much fun it was to film a romantic comedy together once again, and that they both knew that only wanted to work with each other on a film like this. Judging from the trailer, their chemistry in Ticket to Paradise seems very genuine, and a lot of fun!

Romantic comedies are a popular and timeless genre of film, watched by a range of audiences, but are particularly enjoyed by ABC 1 women. This demographic are 62% more likely than the average UK adult to agree that rom-coms are their favourite film type.

Ticket to Paradise’s audience is predicted to be 71% female, and 67% ABC1, across a range of ages.

These statistics, alongside the popularity of the film’s leading actors, prove that Ticket to Paradise is an exceptional opportunity for brands to target ABC1 women – possibly the biggest opportunity of the year!
