Curzon has appointed Digital Cinema Media (DCM), the UK market leader in cinema advertising, to grow its ad revenue and build brand partnerships across the Curzon portfolio. DCM will take over the current contract, which is held by Pearl & Dean, from 1 January 2016.

The Weekend Round-up
The Martian is still out on its own at the top of the box office, enjoying a terrific second weekend, falling just 21% (once previews are removed) to £3.9m and after eleven days in cinemas it has banked £13.2m. That’s a better second weekend than Interstellar, which managed £3.8m second weekend on its way to a £20.7m total.. Read more

The Weekend Round-up
The Martian conquered Everest, as the Ridley Scott sci-fi opened with a hugely impressive £6.5m, which included £1.6m from Wednesday and Thursday previews. The Friday to Sunday total of £4.9m is the ninth highest opening weekend of the year. Of recent autumn sci-fi films, it’s just below Interstellar (£5.4m) and Gravity (£5.6m) but it’s a great result and proves that even at 77, Ridley Scott can still put together a crowd-pleasing spectacle.
