Deadpool continued its remarkable performance, topping the box office for the third straight weekend, after adding £3m for a new cume of £31.2m. It's still behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens (£35.5m) in the list of highest grossing films of 2016, but it will overtake it before the end of its run. Read more
The winners of the 88th Academy Awards were announced on Sunday 28 February and, after another competitive awards season, Leonardo DiCaprio finally walked away with an Oscar, winning Best Actor, one of three awards in total for The Revenant. The results are also in for Digital Cinema Media’s (DCM) 2016 Fantasy Film League (FFL) Oscars edition. Over 530 industry film buffs entered but only one scored a perfect 10 out of 10 to win the DCM FFL title and an exclusive red carpet experience.
