Digital Cinema Media has launched DCM Studios to maximise the power and potential of the unique cinema experience. 

Digital Cinema Media (DCM) has launched DCM Studios, a new division designed to maximise the power and potential of the unique cinema experience. Led by DCM’s Creative Business Director, Jeremy Kolesar, DCM Studios will operate across four key areas: Technology, Film Content, Film Partnerships and Content Production.

Karen Stacey, CEO, Digital Cinema Media, said: “We’ve driven significant growth for the cinema medium over the last three years and we’re determined to maintain this momentum and drive the industry forward in 2018 and beyond. The 16-week theatrical window is just one reason why cinema is a step ahead when it comes to delivering unique and memorable experiences. The film slate is also planned years ahead of release which enables DCM to help brands and agencies plan for the long term.”

DCM Studios’ purpose is to help inspire brand and agency partners to capture the cultural moments inspired by film and get even closer to the content, whether through film partnerships or creating unique experiences through the latest technology.

A recent example of the work DCM Studios will be focusing on is DCM’s new nine-month partnership with Coty across its boutique and independent cinema estate nationwide. Brokered by media agency, Zenith, the campaign aligns Max Factor with four major upcoming releases from October 2017 to June 2018. For each film, a bespoke cinema creative outlines how to ‘create the look’ of the film. Max Factor is also hosting exclusive private screenings with make-up artists, goody bags and a red-carpet experience to bring the partnership to life.

DCM Studios will be led by DCM’s Creative Business Director, Jeremy Kolesar, who will report into DCM’s Sales Director, Davina Barker, and work closely with DCM’s Head of Film, Tom Linay and DCM’s Head of Events & Activations, Anastasia Takis. DCM Studios has also built a network of external partners who are committed to creating bespoke campaigns for brands in the cinema environment.
