Aldeburgh Cinema is the latest historic cinema to join the DCM portfolio.

Aldeburgh Cinema has been screening films continuously since 1919, when the auditorium was built onto the back of a 19th century High Street store. The auditorium retains a number of original features, including a number of beautiful art deco lights. The cinema building also houses a Gallery and Arts exhibition space.

In the 1960s, a group of local people, including composer Benjamin Britten, banded together to purchase the cinema and run it on behalf of the local community and, since then, the cinema has effectively been a community enterprise.

It makes a great addition to the DCM portfolio and helps us grow our 80% market share.

The Aldeburgh cinema joins the DCM portfolio from February 2015.
