It gave me enormous pleasure that we were able to announce our partnership with Unique Digital at CineCon last month. As you are aware DCM has created a tailored automated scheduling and distribution solution for all pre-show content.

As well as resolving all your playlist issues and reducing your workload dramatically the DCM Cinematic TMS also ensures that advertisers and agencies can fully maximise the dynamic planning opportunities that DCM now offers.  Once in place across DCM’s 150 independent cinemas in May, our entire digitised estate, representing 80% of the cinema advertising marketing in the UK, will become fully automated.

DCM Cinematic has been designed specifically for our Independent Exhibitors to complement existing systems and make full use of the completely integrated suite of Unique Digital’s latest digital solutions, namely their newest browser based Theatre Management System (TMS), RosettaBridge v4™, Digital Advertising Accord™ sales and scheduling application, and MovieTransit ™ content distribution platform.  The main features of DCM Cinematic include a template playlist builder, macro function mapping, realtime monitoring, projector, server and audio status and auto device detection. There will also be an opportunity to upgrade the software further, which we’ll be in contact about in a few weeks once the entire network is live.

DCM’s adoption of digital technology has enabled cinema advertising to be faster, more flexible and more creative than ever before. The investment in DCM Cinematic TMS is an example of our commitment to offer Exhibitors the best service we can as we grow cinema advertising revenue and strive to make life easier for our Exhibition partners, ensuring DCM remains at the forefront of the industry.

Since DCM became the only fully digital cinema media owner in the UK, brands have taken advantage of the new power of cinema to flexibly plan by time of day, film, showing, cinema, genre or audience. A recent campaign for VW for example was given a local spin with the final frame directing audiences to their nearest VW retailer. DCM was also able to help congratulate the Arctic Monkeys on their recent Brit Awards double by changing the creative before certain films and showings following the ceremony.
