The winners of the 88th Academy Awards were announced on Sunday 28 February and, after another competitive awards season, Leonardo DiCaprio finally walked away with an Oscar, winning Best Actor, one of three awards in total for The Revenant. Mad Max: Fury Road collected the night’s heaviest Oscar haul, winning six technical awards, while journalism drama Spotlight was named Best Picture.
