The UK release date of the latest instalment in one of cinema’s most successful franchises has been brought forward by two weeks to 24 June 2021.

Justin Lin, director of four of the biggest and best films in the franchise, returns for the ninth instalment alongside core characters Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez) and Cipher (Charlize Theron).

The film opened this past weekend (22-23 May) in just eight international markets and banked a huge $162m at the international box office, which is the best international launch for a Hollywood film since the pandemic began. It was also the first Hollywood film to debut to more than $100 million in China since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

This is all set to be a huge hit with Fast & Furious fans and cinemagoers in the UK too.
