The Pavilion Cinema was delighted to present Certificates Of Achievement to two of their senior staff today. Shift Supervisors Rebecca and Lewis have been working over the past 18 months towards achieving the UK Cinema Association ‘Cinema Operative’ apprenticeship. After putting in many hours of hard work and dedication to the course they recently qualified with a government-accredited Customer Service Apprenticeship Level 2 qualification.Congratulations to Becca and Lewis.

The UKCA recently teamed up with the Film & Television Charity, to establish a grant to cover the co-investment contribution towards the Association’s sector-specific apprenticeship.

This apprenticeship contains a bespoke ‘cinema operative’ pathway, which incorporates key elements relevant to the role of an apprentice working in the cinema sector.

The Film & Television charity will award up to 10 grants annually. To be eligible for the grant learners must have at least two years of professional experience within the industry, paid or unpaid. This experience can be built up cumulatively. And at the time of application, learners must earn less than £20,000 per year.
