It’s official, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey have surpassed modern cinema’s most successful duo.

The pairing has reached a combined industry-wide admissions total of 16m to sit comfortably ahead of Barbenheimer’s record.

And when it came to DCM admissions, both films achieved a combined total of 13.3m to beat the Barbenheimer partnership of 12.5m.

In fact, Nolan has outdone his own success, beating Oppenheimer’s resounding 4m DCM admissions to reach 5.2m with The Odyssey.

Spider-Man's fanfare has driven real brand value:

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has delivered 29 16-34 adult TVRs to date, while The Odyssey has achieved 17 16-34 adult TVRs

And there’s still more to come.

With plenty of runtime left, Spider-Man is on track to break the elusive £100m UK Box Office threshold and join the ranks of Skyfall and The Force Awakens.

National Cinema Weekend returns this week September 5–6, 2026 offering discounted tickets nationwide. Spider-Man and The Odyssey could see their admissions grow even further.
