We are incredibly proud to share that DCM’s Sales Director Davina Barker was named the Hammer Award winner at the inaugural Media For All (MEFA) Diversity and Inclusion Awards.

The awards, in partnership with Campaign, were created to promote and celebrate advertisers, media organisations and individuals from diverse groups who champion diversity and inclusion.

A breakfast awards ceremony took place on Tuesday 21 November, and DCM’s Sales Director Davina Barker was presented with the Hammer Award. This award recognises and celebrates a senior leader from a diverse background who has shattered the glass ceiling and made remarkable strides in incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion across their business.

“I’m honoured to be recognised at the inaugural MEFA awards alongside so many other amazing individuals and businesses who are contributing to a more inclusive and equitable media industry” said Davina Barker.

The competition for the Hammer Award in particular was incredibly strong. Chair of judges Karen Blackett, president of WPP UK, said: “This was by far the toughest category to judge as the calibre was so high.”

Nishma Patel Robb, (former) Senior Director Brand and Reputation Marketing at Google and President of WACL, and Serhat Ekinci, Managing Director at OMG Unite, were both highly commended in the category. Also nominated were Liam Mullins, Managing Partner at the7stars and Tobi Asare, Managing Partner, Head of Growth at OMD UK.

DCM is incredibly proud of Davina's efforts in incorporating DE&I across all aspects of the business and its culture, and are proud to be sponsor of Media for All (MEFA).
