Picturehouse Kids' Club becomes first partner for UNICEF UK’s Making Childhood Unstoppable Campaign

With Support from UNICEF UK ambassador Michael Sheen, £1 from every Kids Club ticket sold will help to remove the barriers – a lack of health care, schooling, welfare – that prevent children reaching their potential.

UNICEF UK has partnered with Picturehouse Kids’ Club, the first partner to support its new Making Childhood Unstoppable Campaign. Through the partnership, £1 from every Kids’ Club ticket sold between 18 September and 31 December will support UNICEF UK in its mission to remove the barriers that prevent children reaching their potential, helping more children access education, healthcare and the support they need to make childhood unstoppable.

Picturehouse Kids’ Club brings children across  the UK together in front of the big screen to experience moments of wonder, joy and possibility. UNICEF UK is working to ensure every child, everywhere, can experience moments like these and fulfil their potential. The partnership sees UNICEF UK partner with Picturehouse Kids’ Club in a campaign brokered by Digital Cinema Media (DCM) and iProspect.

Critically acclaimed actor and UNICEF UK Ambassador, Michael Sheen will speak directly and exclusively to audiences through an on-screen introductory film running across every Saturday Kids’ Club screening and Festive Film Season.

Beyond the screen, Kids Clubs attendees can enjoy a free UNICEF UK- activity booklet at Craft Corner activations in the foyers. Their creations can then be displayed on a purpose-built picture wall, celebrating both the partnership with UNICEF UK and the creativity of young cinemagoers.

At selected Picturehouse sites, UNICEF UK has taken over in-foyer photobooths, giving families the opportunity to capture memories before or after the film. Families using the booths during Kids’ Clubs will be able to receive their photos free of charge

The partnership will continue with a variety of online touchpoints such as CRM, social and display content, reinforcing the campaign through the cinema customer journey.

Jeremy Kolesar, Head of Creative at DCM Studios said “For an organisation that delivers such important work, UNICEF UK has found the perfect partnership to share its message. It’s incredible to see the big screen’s momentum and cultural impact captured in such a positive and creative way.”

Louise Lane, UNICEF UK Chief Partnership and Marketing Officer said "At UNICEF UK, we believe every child deserves the chance to learn, play and thrive. That's why we're proud to partner with Picturehouse Kids' Club on an initiative that celebrates the joy, creativity and connection that childhood brings. By raising vital funds through this partnership, we can help children facing some of the toughest challenges around the world and continue our work to make childhood unstoppable."

Louise Rose, iProspect Managing Partner added “This partnership shows the power of media to create meaningful moments that connect audiences with causes that matter. By bringing UNICEF UK’s Making Childhood Unstoppable campaign into the shared experience of cinema, Picturehouse Kids’ Club offers families an engaging way to support children around the world.”
