The second weekend of 'Sex And The City 2' helped Nescafe Gold Blend's cinema campaign deliver an estimated one million impacts, according to figures from Digital Cinema Media today.
The Nescafé ad, made by Interpublic creative agency McCann Erickson, features a man and woman as they interact across the street from their respective balconies. Read more
Digital Cinema Media is the driving force behind digital and 3D cinema advertising, with 607 screens across the UK of which 516 have 3D capabilities.
3D and digital screens are rolling out at a significant rate, with ODEON & UCI Cinemas Group expected to be 100% digital by the end of 2011, and other cinema exhibitors expected to follow suit. Currently there are 663 3D industry screens with DCM representing 78%. Read more

The release of 'Sex and The City 2' helped a cinema campaign for Muller Fruit Corner to deliver an estimated 1.3 million impacts, according to figures from Digital Cinema Media.
The ad, which was created by VCCP, is called 'Galloping Cow' and shows a cow being allowed to gallop across the countryside in return for giving Muller Fruit Corner milk to make its yoghurts. Read more
Beauty giant L’Oreal has partnered with Digital Cinema Media to create a bespoke film event which aims 23to give the skincare brand ownership of Mother’s Day.
L’Oreal will sponsor a number of special Mothers Day screenings at 17 Cineworld cinemas around the UK on March 22nd, the first time a brand has tied up with the event. The move by L’Oreal represents a broadening of its marketing capabilities to include cinema, a media that is remaining buoyant. Read more

The release of 'Streetdance 3D' helped a Nokia cinema ad campaign deliver an estimated 700,000 impacts last weekend, according to unofficial figures from Digital Cinema Media.
The Nokia ad, created by Wieden & Kennedy and called 'Highway Manifesto', is a 60-second commercial that promotes the introduction of free sat nav facility to all Nokia mobile users. Read more
Britain's home grown, Streetdance 3D took the number one slot last week, grossing £2.5m at the box office and beating Disney's Prince of Persia which came second taking £1.3m.
The movie directed by award winning music video director duo Max and Dania features Britain's Got Talents winning dance group Diversity and tells the story of a group of street dancers who, in order to win a dance competition must team up with ballet students from the Royal Dance School. Read more

Lingerie brand Triumph is to launch a live show featuring bra-clad models, to promote its range during cinema screenings of 'Sex and the City 2'.
The lingerie brand has created a 60-second ad to be shown before the screening of the movie. During the opening night of screenings on 28 May, models will perform a catwalk in the auditorium, taking off their clothes to reveal Triumph bras and recreating the ad as it appears on-screen. Read more
Ridley-Scott’s latest offering, Robin Hood grossed an impressive £5.8m in its first five days last week, beating their previous best, Gladiator which took just £3.6m in its opening weekend in 2000.
In the US, Robin Hood opened to an estimated $37.1m, beating Gladiator's $34.8m opening weekend and becoming the top ever opening for a medieval-themed picture. Exit polls state that 56% of its audience was male with 63% over 30 years old. Read more
