The latest AA/Warc Expenditure report has said that UK advertising spend grew last year by 5.8%, its highest rate since 2010 and is forecast to exceed £20 billion next year.
The report reflected a strong story for cinema, with a 9.4% increase year on year – with cinema ad revenue growing faster than TV, Radio, OOH and Print (Regional / National Newspapers plus Magazines). Read more

Picturehouse Cinemas is set to launch a new state-of-the-art cinema on Lordship Lane, East Dulwich, London.

A new cinema has now opened in Cardiff’s Capitol shopping centre after the venue sat unused for 15 years.
Premiere Cinemas, which runs venues in locations such as Romford and King's Lynn, has invested a seven figure sum into the venue which has now been completely refurbished. Read more
The old Cineworld Shaftesbury Avenue, right next to Piccadilly Circus, is being transformed into a brand new Picturehouse in the heart of London’s West End and is due to open in early summer 2015.

Fast & Furious 7 came out on top for the third straight week, a feat only The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel has managed this year. Fast & Furious 7 added £3m and crossed the £30m mark in the process. It now sits on £32m and is closing in on Fifty Shades Of Grey’s 2015 high of £34.8m. Read more

Fast & Furious 7 held on to the top spot adding an impressive £5.4m and after just ten days in cinemas has already become the highest grossing film in the series. It now sits on £26.3m, surpassing Fast & Furious 6’s final total of £25.3m, and it should finish well past £30m, which is a remarkable performance. Read more
