Thunderbolts* is the latest Marvel film to top the box office, opening with £6m, which includes £1m from Thursday previews. That’s the fourth biggest opening weekend of 2025 and this weekend, particularly in the US, is considered the start of the summer movie season. This weekend last year saw The Fall Guy open with a Friday to Sunday total of £3.2m, so Thunderbolts* has got the 2025 summer movie season off to a better start than that film did in 2024. Thunderbolts* added a further £1.8m on bank holiday Monday for a four-day total of £7.8m. Read more
A Minecraft Movie continued its hugely impressive run adding £2.5m, down 53% from last weekend, which takes it over the £50m mark to a HUGE £51.7m.
