Nine of Digital Cinema Media’s cinema partners have been nominated for Cinema of the Year at The Big Screen Awards 2023.

The Big Screen Awards from Screen International celebrate the amazing work from the hardworking cinematic industry, bringing blockbuster releases to our screens and captivating the minds of an audience.

The Awards include two coveted Cinema of the Year categories, for 24 screens or under, and 25 screens or over. DCM is proud to have multiple cinema partners nominated in each:

Cinema of the Year (24 screens or under)

Jam Jar Cinema (Whitley Bay)

The Living Room Cinema (Liphook)

The Montrose Playhouse (Montrose)

Parkway Cinema (Barnsley)

Queens Film Theatre (Belfast)

Cinema of the Year (25 screens or over)

Cineworld Boldon

Picturehouse Greenwich

Odeon Luxe Derby

Vue Printworks Manchester

The Cinema of the Year categories honour single site cinemas that have shown not only strong performance in ticket sales, but also evidence of how the cinema connects with and serves its community. We are proud of all our cinema partners nominated for this award, who have gone above and beyond for their local communities, despite challenging times, to provide the very best cinematic experiences.

Other nominations for Odeon, Vue, Cineworld and Picturehouse across a number of categories include Big Screen Event of the Year, Diversity & Inclusion Initiative, Green Screen Award and Team of the Year.

The 2023 Big Screen Awards will be judged by a panel of more than 60 industry experts. The Awards ceremony will take place on November 23 at The Brewery in London.
