Digital Cinema Media (DCM) has announced the promotion of Davina Barker to Sales Director.
Davina joined DCM in April 2011 as Head of Agency Sales and has since been responsible for overseeing the agency sales team to generate new and incremental revenues, as well as developing DCM’s relationships with media agencies across the UK.
In her new role, Davina will work closely with DCM’s CEO Karen Stacey as part of DCM’s leadership team to drive long-term growth by proving cinema’s unique value as part of an advertiser’s multi-media schedule and delivering DCM’s plans to align cinema with other AV media channels.
At the same time, DCM has restructured its Sales team, promoting four team members to the new role of Business Director. Andrew Bishop takes on the role of Business Director for Vivaki, Gerry Anyanwu takes on the role of Business Director for Media Independents, Kloe Wells takes on the role of Business Director for Opera and Steven Lorenzini takes on the role of Business Director for Group M. DCM is currently recruiting for a Business Director for Aegis.
The four Business Directors will work with Davina to manage a team of 30 and will be responsible for running their individual group to deliver ambitious revenue targets. The Business Director team comes with a wealth of experience from across the industry. Steven has over seven years of experience at Sky Media, while Kloe Wells held long-term sales roles at CBS and Emap. Kloe was also Media Week’s Media Owner Rising Star in 2014. Andrew held previous roles at Newsquest, Titan Outdoor and Admedia, while Gerry was previously at BBC Worldwide and Media Initiatives Group.
Commenting on the promotion, Karen Stacey, DCM’s CEO, said: “Davina is an extremely talented sales woman, who knows the media and cinema industry inside-out, having helped reposition DCM and the cinema medium over the last five years. She’s passionate and driven and I know that in this new role, Davina will play a major part in driving the continued growth of our business.”
Davina Barker, Sales Director, added: “We’ve had a busy start to the year, with cinema ad revenues already up a stellar 26 per cent. I’m really excited about this promotion and working closely with the newly promoted Business Directors to continue our success in championing the cinema medium and working closely with our clients to grow their businesses.”
