DCM Welcomes The Opera House, Blackpool

The Opera House in Blackpool is the latest historic cinema to join the DCM portfolio.

From 1939 to 1975, films were regularly shown at the Opera House, a world famous venue. Dwindling audiences because of the emergence of television saw the cinema screen later ripped out however, almost four decades later, the one screen site venue spent £130,000 installing a new screen, surround sound and a new projection system, kicking off its new era of cinema earlier this year.

One of the country’s largest theatres with a seating capacity of almost 3,000, it makes another great addition to the DCM portfolio, helping us continue to grow our 80% market share.
