DCM & Director John Dower at Mindshare Huddle 2016

Director John Dower is behind some fantastic film content that usually exercise the are of documentary but he has also been involved in making some moving advertising work for the likes of Sky HD and Aviva. His latest venture to be brought to the big screen is My Scientology Movie, which he directed and co-wrote with longtime collaborator Louis Theroux and continues to fascinate audiences.

In DCM's Huddle for Good session at Mindshare's annual event, Head of Film Tom Linay will talk to the filmmaker about his endeavours in directing and how film has affected his life. The seminar will touch on how the power of cinema can change lives and spread impactful messages as well as dig deeper into Dower's life and career.

Dower's feature, Thriller in Manilla, was in competition at Sundance, BAFTA and was EMMY nominated and his first documentary short, Ronald, proved a massive hit on the festival circuit. His advertising reel includes recent work for brands including The Co-operative Bank, Not On The High Street and Omega and My Scientology Movie has topped £1m at the box office putting it on course to be the highest-grossing documentary of the year.
