Davina Barker named one of Campaign’s 40 Over 40 Winners

We are delighted to share that DCM’s Sales Director Davina Barker has been named one of Campaign’s 40 Over 40 winners for 2024.

The initiative, which is now in its fourth iteration in the UK, spotlights 40 professionals aged 40 and above from across the media and advertising industry.

Davina brings over 25 years of experience in the media and advertising industry to her role as Sales Director at DCM. Leading the company’s commercial strategy, over the years her responsibilities have expanded to encompass regional, client, creative, marketing, and campaign management, demonstrating bravery in implementing strategic vision, driving growth and innovation.

Davina is fiercely committed to fostering diversity in the workplace. When rebuilding DCM's team after covid, she spearheaded initiatives to attract diverse talent including:

  • Collaborating with the government's Kickstart programme
  • Partnering with Back2businessship supporting professionals returning to the workforce
  • Fostering diversity with DCM's sponsorship of Media For All (MEFA), which empowers Black, Asian, and Ethnic minority talent.

These initiatives set a precedent for industry success and saw the team grow from 38 to 61, with 20% from diverse backgrounds and 50% new recruits from outside the industry.

The judges described Davina’s journey as a “Fabulous list of career achievements to date, coupled with driving some impactful internal programmes that are making a difference in pushing diversity and inclusion internally.”
