Karen Stacey joined Digital Cinema Media (DCM) in January 2015 as CEO, with a view to continue the transformation of cinema’s role in the modern media mix, advocating recent technological developments and the big screen’s everlasting ability to captivate audiences through its unique immersive and dynamic environment.
The market leader in UK cinema advertising, DCM provides 2906 screens at 467 sites for advertisers and sells 80% of the cinema advertising market through exhibitors including ODEON, Cineworld, Vue, Picturehouse and many independent cinemas.
Prior to DCM, Karen worked in the media industry for over 25 years, holding senior positions at Bauer Media UK and Channel 4, working across all platforms including TV, radio, magazines and digital.
Karen is also a member of WACL, the Marketing Society and The Solus Club, which only opened its doors to women in 2013. Karen is a huge film lover and a fan of most sports, despite preferring to watch rather than taking part! Karen lives with her husband and 10 year old daughter in London.
Zoe Jones joined Digital Cinema Media (DCM) in October 2012 as Marketing Director to oversee all Marketing and Communications activity and work as part of the Executive Team to grow and develop the overall business. Part of Zoe’s mission is to reposition the role of cinema in the media mix through championing recent technological innovations and the big screen’s ability to emotionally engage audiences through the unique cinema experience.
Zoe has spent her whole career working in the media industry and prior to DCM, Zoe held senior marketing and communications roles at global out-of-home media company Clear Channel International and PPA – the trade association for consumer and B2B magazine publishers. Zoe is also a keen photographer, a fan of sci-fi and fantasy books and films and a passionate supporter of the Welsh rugby team.
Steve Davis joined Digital Cinema Media (DCM) in August 2013 and his primary role is to engage with DCM Exhibitors, understand their business needs and maximise revenues. Working closely with the Commercial, Finance and Marketing teams, Steve is responsible for investigating and implementing new and incremental revenue streams to drive profitability and ultimately grow cinema’s share of the media market.
Prior to DCM, Steve worked at Clear Channel for nine years in Business Development and Transformation. He has worked in media for his entire career, including senior sales roles at Haymarket Media Group and Incisive Media. Steve is delighted to be working within the film and media industries as he is a huge movie fan, only rivalled by his other passion – Formula 1.
