Skyline takes 1.2M as Due Date Stays Top

Low-budget sci-fi flick Skyline grossed a respectable £1.21m across 381 screens last weekend. The film about an alien invasion, directed by visual effects whizzes Colin and Greg Srause, stars Six Feet Under star Eric Balfour.

Due Date, starring Robert Downey Jr and Zach Galifianakis held onto the top spot at the UK Box Office last weekend, taking £1.9m. Since release date two weeks ago, the film has grossed an impressive £5.8m.

Animated comedy Despicable Me, voiced by Steve Carell, Russell Brand and Julie Andrews, took the top spot in the UK Box Office over the weekend taking £3.6m in ticket sales. The first 3D animated movie from Universal Pictures follows Gru, a bumbling villain with plans to steal the moon until three orphan girls enter his life.
