Job Purpose: As a Research and Insight Assistant you will provide accurate understanding of the market and our consumers, through the use of market data, industry news and our own bespoke research projects, which you will be involved in running. ..............................................................................................................................

The role

Main responsibilities:

  • Project manage integration of new datasets into the evaluation of cinema advertising

  • Utilise industry tools such as IPA Touchpoints, Ad Dynamix, Mintel and TGI to create presentations and data analysis that help to promote cinema advertising.

  • Take research briefs from internal sales team members, as well as external planners, advertisers, agencies and advertisers

  • Commission and manage primary research tools e.g. FAME (Cinema Advertising Associations quant insight piece) and create presentations and marketing materials to promote cinema and its audience.

  • Commission and manage advertising tracking studies, ensuring value and credibility

  • Interpretation of research results, and the creation of presentations, and or case studies, to promote findings

  • Develop new insight tools for DCM/Cinema advertising industry(2014 saw the launch of CineMapper, a retail proximity mapping tool)

  • Train internal employees on industry tools and systems

  • Utilise statistical/modelling skills to analyse industry datasets in new and exciting ways that help promote and plan cinema

  • Work with our Marketing and Design teams on data visualisation

  • Champion DCM insight function both internally and externally


    To develop:

Pull together reports and presentations, which are relevant to a specific audience or client, helping to aid direct business and be responsible for producing surveys, updating key data sources and supporting and providing analysis for senior research team members as well as our internal sales team.

  • Great project management and organisational skills

  • Have excellent presentation skills internally and externally to the company

  • Have first rate communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Highly numerate with the ability to analyse and interpret various types of data and information with strong research skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Be outgoing and enjoy working in a team

  • Self-starter who is keen to learn

  • Possess a well-developed sense of humour and be resilient in temperament

  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills

  • Be equipped to work at speed and prioritise tasks


    Education & Qualifications

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent (in a subject ideally with a research based module)
