Marketing Assistant


Department: Marketing

Responsible to: Marketing Manager

Job purpose: To support the Marketing team across all activities while taking particular responsibility for sales support, events and project administration. 


The role

  • Support the Marketing team to deliver the Marketing strategy and activity roadmap on time and on budget
  • Develop profitable internal relationships with the Marketing, Sales and Insight teams to support development of meaningful and relevant communications material
  • Help produce bespoke sales materials when required to support sales initiatives
  • Work with Communications Manager, Junior Designer and Head of Film to manage day-to-day content requirements for, the DCM app and key sales presentations including banners, posters, trailers, film information, the latest ads and sales monthly updates
  • Manage the creative construction of eCRM campaigns from the briefing process through to the management of our custom email system (MailChimp)
  • Assist in planning for the delivery of conferences, events, marketing, PR campaigns and special projects as required
  • Support Junior Designer in building media library of inspiring audio visual content for use across paid/owned and earned channels 
  • Manage archive and inventory of all marketing materials 
  • Keep promotional and branding materials ready by coordinating requirements with marketing and sales departments; inventorying stock and placing orders
  • Liaise with facilities regarding all stationery requests including business cards, USBs, Letterhead etc
  • Help manage cinema vouchers, VIP passes and premiere tickets in association with the sales team
  • Work with the team to track marketing costs including invoices, POs, expenses and new business data
  • Help manage the team admin and departmental processes 
  • Support the Marketing Director and Marketing Manager when required 
  • Ensure consistently high service standards are delivered to internal customers and help ensure all marketing opportunities are maximised and communicated internally
  • Ensure consistently high service standards when working with external suppliers including communications agency, printers and other external customers

Key competencies

  • Aware and interested in multi-platform communication opportunities
  • Marketing, Entertainment or Advertising agency experience preferred
  • Confident communicator who can build strong internal and external relationships
  • Values simplicity and clarity in communication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign desirable 
  • Understanding of content management systems and website development desirable
